A DAY TO REMEMBER - ENTIRE BAND

NEWS: A DAY TO REMEMBER PAYS HOMAGE TO THEIR PATH TO STARDOM IN THEIR NEW MUSIC VIDEO “RIGHT BACK AT IT AGAIN.”

A DAY TO REMEMBER - ENTIRE BANDA DAY TO REMEMBER PAYS ANIMATED HOMAGE TO THEIR PATH TO STARDOM IN THEIR NEW MUSIC VIDEO “RIGHT BACK AT IT AGAIN.” VIDEO FEATURES SINGING POOP, BAND MEMBER BOBBLEHEADS,  LASER BEAM COWS,  and a SURFING A WAVE OF NOODLES WITHIN A SEA RAMEN.

A Day To Remember pay hilarious homage to the grueling path to stardom in their new animated music video for their single “Right Back At It Again” taken from their self-released fifth album “Common Courtesy.” A Day To Remember prove they’re as humorous as ever by covering the difficult struggles of sustaining a band in the early days to fame to the present day, by releasing a lighthearted, can’t-turn-my-head-away animated music video.

The brand new music video opens with the facially tatted Tom Denny – founding/ex-guitar player A Day To Remember (who still plays a very active writing role in the band despite not touring) sitting in a chair with a book wide open, sporting a cheeky accent along with a pipe in the other hand, and beginning to tell “the story of five small-town miscreants who banded together to make music, to quote, “To take over the world.” Seemingly a reference to the bands early days on the “For Those Who Have Heart” record. Better yet, it also appear Denny is wearing the old suit from the bands promotional photos from the F.T.W.H.H cycle. A nice touch, and a really cool throwback to accompany the video’s acknowledgement to the early days. Denny has made a cameo in several, if not all A Day To Remember previous music videos. He goes on to talk about how the day the band began in 2003, and proceeds to say “it twas a day to remember” as the music kicks in, and the video goes into full gear. Next we see the band members with large heads, and small bodies jamming, and dancing like animated bobbleheads. Without spoiling too much of this amazing video, the video covers a lot of insanely animated tribute to the bands history, including drummer Alex Shelnutt’s poop turning into singing, and dancing ADTR feces. This is of course followed by guitarist Kevin Skaff riding a wave of ramen in a sea of noodles, and many MANY other impressive, almost acid-like inducing imagery. The video crafted masterfully alongside the incredibly catchy, lyrically relevant tune “Right Back At It Again,” this is a video that you’ll end up watching multiple times to catch all the goofiness, and references to the bands past.

To put it simply, this video is incredible, possibly A Day To Remember‘s best yet, if not one of the best videos ever, and definitely deserves your attention long time A Day To Remember fan or not.

“Common Courtesy” is A Day To Remember first self-released full-length record since their split with longtime label Victory Records. The band has recently been wrapped up in a lawsuit against Victory Records since 2011, and recently won an initial judge ruling in favor of the band to self-release “Common Courtesy.” The album was self-released through the bands website in October 2013, and sold a staggering 92,000 copies in its first week of release. The album has since surpassed 100,000 in sales after the physical version was released last month in November despite not having Victory Records gigantic marketing power, and resources behind them. The band has never been more on fire, and it just so happens that the success of “Common Courtesy’s” release came at an important time for the bands future having done everything recently on all on their own. ADTR self-funded their most recent arena tour “The House Party Tour” playing alongside All Time Low, and Pierce The Veil.

It seems that despite ADTR’s legal woes with Victory Records, the band doesn’t plan on going away anytime soon as long as their massive fan base continue to support them.
