Australia’s hot six piece band, Hands like Houses, is on the rise. Their history of eclectic mixtures and sonically charged performances is gaining a tremendous following.   The sky is the limit for these guys!

Hands like Houses burst on the scene with their phenomenal debut album Ground Dweller.  Ground Dweller provided a rousing and impressive of truly shining talent.

Unimagine which  released in 2013, literally blew the minds of those who chose to listen.  What were the guys thinking when the selected the title?   The title is a  contradiction.   The album is actually very imaginative.   Whereas Ground Dweller shined it had some minor production flaws, Unimagine corrected that issue and provided us with a concise, pervasive and awesome creation.

The latest current EP from Hands Like Houses is actually a transformation of fan favorites from the previous album Unimagine.   How clever of the guys to put an usual spin on these select tracks!

Other groups in the past have released acoustic styles of their previous works but not Hands Like Houses. These guys provide a diverse style of the original. The expertise involved in this transformation is astounding.   They are able to keep the familiarity but at the same time create a totally new song.

For example, the track “Recollect” is formerly known as “Shapeshifters”. As with the original, it keeps  the fast pace with optimism which is an enjoyable experience.  recollect takes off into a new direction with fast pace clapping and an quick beat but with more melody, Trenton Woodly’s vocals are stellar and really stand out more in this altered style. Trenton Woodly explains, “This album isn’t an acoustic record for us, that would be saying that Unimagine was a drum and bass album.  Reimagine is a parallel and discovery of Unimagine.”   What a perfect description of this excellent project.   Even though each song lyrically remains the same, instinctively they are given a fresh beginning and are actually reborn.

Reimagine is an incredible display of talent and awesome listening experience.

Reimagine is given 5 rocking skulls!
