‘Throughout its 15 year history, Soulfly has been one of those bands that no matter what changes happened to have occurred, the consistency and quality of music remained the same. And so it’s been since its inception in 1998 by founder Max Cavalera and stands as strong as ever today with the band’s latest album, Savages, via Nuclear Blast Records. Never one to shy away from controversy, Cavalera chose to follow up Enslaved (2012) with a title and album full of songs that are once again opening up dialog for discussion of societal issues and the many variations of savagery displayed by human beings around the world.
