LIMP BIZKIT Still Sucks Tour – LIVE PHOTOS/REVIEW

Limp Bizkit brought the “Dad Vibes” and all the “Dirty Rotten Bizkit” flavor to Chesapeake Employers Insurance Area at UMBC in Baltimore, Maryland on Sunday, May 15, 2022. The band brought it back to 1999 and had the place jumping to vintage Bizkit we all know and love right after kicking things off with new jams from Still Sucks. This concert was a great escape from current reality as the world adjusts back to “normal” post-pandemic during which many have not seen a live concert for two years. The band triggered smiles throughout the crowd when they dialed it back to the millennium era with a huge sparkling disco ball and throwback snippets like Britney Spears’s “Baby One More Time.” The band took it back to their roots and led the rest of an action packed set with Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water hit “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle).”

Not only did the set feature fan favored classics with Fred Durst spitting lyrics dressed in hilarious “Dad Vibes” attire; we also got to see DJ Lethal spinning on a ginormous lighted platform next to a giant blow-up cigarette mom. Sam Rivers was seen jamming on the bass stage left with John Otto, who took us to the Matthew’s Bridge and slayed the kind of beats you can’t deny banging your head to. Stage right was reserved for Wes Borland, face painted, masked and suited up in white, as he shredded the guitar and featured heavy riffs from bands like Metallica, Pantera and Guns N’ Roses.

The madness ensued all night with crowd surfers, mosh pits and high energy from the crowd. Durst was very engaged with the audience and invited lucky fans onstage to sing along during classic hits “Hot Dog” and “Full Nelson.” The band played a tour debut and Baltimore favorite jam “I’m Broke” from Significant Other. Towards the end, the band let the audience choose a song and the decision landed on “Counterfeit” from Three Dollar Bill, Y’all with total chaos continuing. All of the venue lights came on and the night ended with Durst expressing appreciation to the crowd. He then invited character-dressed fans onstage to jam out to the band’s top hit “Break Stuff” alongside them as they played. Don’t be fooled! Despite the new album’s theme, Limp Bizkit is far from “Out of Style” as one of the most successful and widely recognized nu-metal bands crushing it for nearly three decades.
