HUNTRESS’ NEW ALBUM IS RELEASED THIS WEEK!

Are you ready for Huntress’ latest album, Starbound Beast, which will be available on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013 in North America?! Get ready. Europeans are already head-banging since the albums release there yesterday (June 28, 2013). This second album by the band was produced by Zeuss (SHADOWS FALL, HATEBREED, AGNOSTIC FRONT) at Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles, and is being released by Napalm Records.

HUNTRESS was spawned from the preternatural union of Jill Janus with underground metal bands PROFESSOR and DARK BLACK. HUNTRESS vocalist Jill Janus states the band’s inspiration for the album came the cosmos.

“I began to open the stargate with Spell Eater, and specifically the song “Sleep and Death” which references deep space. We are children of Earth, but crave the stars, the vast galactic unknown. I began writing the second album while on tour last summer in Europe. I’d wake up at odd hours while everyone slept and began receiving lyrics and melodies that were expanding beyond my knowledge of the occult.”

CHECK OUT THIS PREVIEW FOR STARBOUND BEAST FROM NAPALM RECORDS!

Starbound Beast will blow minds; HUNTRESS remains true to the roots of melodic heavy metal, but has advanced musically and will indeed surprise many metal fanatics with their stunning new material. The band’s thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos and catchy choruses are derived from the musical concoction of esoteric science and bong rips. Starbound Beast is your ship to other realms and beyond!

About Johnny Price (592 Articles)
Johnny P’s picture should truly be in the dictionary next to “music lover” as he seriously personifies the very essence of the word. He lives, sleeps, eats & breathes music. When he’s not at shows conducting interviews, he’s writing out his experiences for all of you in his wonderful, down-home, “don’t need a damn thesaurus to read it” storytelling way. He is our Knight in Metal/Rock Armour, our tireless attendee of every show, and most importantly – a champion and friend to musicians at every level (he treats everyone like a rockstar!). If you ever get the chance to meet him, you’ll know by his big smile and humble southern boy charm that he is about as real and nice as they come.

WHAT SAY YOU?
