FIRST LOOK AT BLACK SABBATH’S TOUR STAGE SET!

Black Sabbath are amping up to tour in anticipation of their upcoming album, and it appears as though the legendary rockers are going to be rolling old-school from the looks of the it.

The band shared the above picture on Instagram last night along with the caption, “Time for the final rehearsal before the tour kickoff show tomorrow in Auckland, NZ.”

Black Sabbath will perform at the city’s Vector Arena on April 20 and 22, followed by three dates in Australia. Then they are off to play a single date in Japan in May before their reunion album, ‘13,’ comes out on June 11. The album’s first single, ‘God Is Dead?,’ was released yesterday.

The band recently announced a string of dates in August and September for the North American leg of their tour.

The stage set looks like it could have been lifted straight from 1980s; the band’s peak era. Featuring a twisted tree motif and many of the visual elements from Sabbath’s past, offering a dark and ominous look which is the perfect setting for some Sabbath – old and new!  It also appears that the band might be using old-school speaker monitors instead of in-ear monitors onstage.  This is going to be a true blast from the past for sure!

To date, there’s no word on the set list, but hopefully it will include some of the band’s new record, ’13.’
