The most extraordinary band I have ever seen, Strangelove is a Depeche Mode experience like no other. Bringing an arena-scaled tour to venues all of the country, Strangelove is coming back to Southern California to blow Depeche Mode fans away.
Taken from the band’s description, “Los Angeles based Strangelove – The DEPECHE MODE Experience delivers a career spanning, pitch perfect “best of” concert that transports the listener through time and touches on several key points in Depeche Mode’s illustrious career. Songs from throughout the Depeche canon are lovingly recreated; from favorites on DM’s debut Speak and Spell to the newest fare from ‘Mode’s latest- 2017’s “Spirit”. No detail of Strangelove’s presentation has been overlooked. The visual presentation with stage set pieces and in-show costume changes reflect different eras of Depeche Mode’s story; which spans almost four decades!“
The band consists of “Ultra Dave” (lead vocals by Leo Luganskiy), Brent Meyer as “Counterfeit Martin” on keyboards, vocals, guitar, melodica, sequencing, and percussion- Julian Shah-Tayler as “Oscar Wilder” playing the keyboards, sequencing, percussion, backing vocals, and Jim Evans as “ InTheFletch” – keyboards, sequencing, percussion, and backing vocals.
This band has a long-standing history of sold out performances, epic stage presence, and a delightfully incredible rendition of fan favorite songs. Even Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore had some pleasant words to say about Strangelove, “They do it to such fine detail that’s it’s scary…I think they are fulfilling a fan’s needs by being there when we are not on tour. Keeping the fans satiated while we’re taking a break.“
The band can be caught several times in Southern California, starting with Mount Palomar Winery in Temecula on September 20th, continuing to The Canyon in Agoura Hills on September 27th, and finishing at The Canyon in Pasadena on September 28th.
