Virgin Records artist September Mourning has teamed up with comic book legend Marc Silvestri (Wolverine, Cyberforce) of Top Cow Comics on a brand new, multi-media project. The debut album of September Mourning, produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance), will premiere in the Fall of 2014. That music also shares a narrative with a comic book series which will be co-written and illustrated by Silvestri himself. The creative duo have partnered with a new crowd-funding platform, FanBacked.com, to make the first edition available to retailers and fans alike for free. Who is September Mourning?
September is a female vigilante grim reaper, and a trouble-maker in the eyes of the Reaper-ruler, Fate. She does what she thinks will “make things right” but in doing so, she often screws up the fabric of space-time. September is unique because she is part human, part reaper. She has the ability to fight against the orders of Fate, swap souls, and other rogue reaper behavior. For this reason, she is hunted by Fate.
