The Santa Barbara indie band, Strikes at One, is comprised by Brett Campbell on vocals, Matt Malloy on the Guitar, Jordan Hankey on the Bass, and Beau Bricher on the Drums.
Singer Dez Fafara (DevilDriver), invited Jordan Hankey to play in a band with him, but as Jordan was finishing up law school at the time, he declined, and in his words, “It was hard turning down the bass position with DevilDriver. They are an amazing band live”. Which turned out to be the right decision! When Jordan started jamming with his long-time childhood friend and neighbor, Beau Bricher and Matt Malloy, he realized that it was the band he was meant to be in. All they needed was a great lead singer, at which point they found Brett Campbell, and Strikes at One was born. Their sound presents a classic rock foundation with Metal, Funk and Blues influences that is unique and hits you where you like it best.
Strikes at One released their debut EP ‘Hardwired’ earlier this year, which was co-produced with Ryan Guanzon of New Medicine and John Sinclair. This band works hard, plays harder, and are definitely a band to keep your eyes peeled for, because they are DEFINITELY on their way, making them RockRevolt Magazine’s Indie Band of the Week.
