CHESTER BENNINGTON PHOTO EXHIBIT IN LOS ANGELES

We celebrated an icon on March 20th.

A local art gallery by the name of Black Sheep Gallery, situated neatly in Downtown Burbank, was home to the extraordinary photographs of a musical talent that touched the lives, and hearts, of people all over the world. For many, Chester Bennington was more than just the frontman of Linkin Park- and few know this better than his longtime friend and photographer Jim Louvau.

Jim Louvau is an exceptionally skilled professional photographer, but his intimate portraits and live captures of Chester are something of an entirely different caliber; showing the rare and immortal bond the two had. As such, this event was aptly called Celebrating the Life of Chester Bennington. I, personally, could not have thought of anyone better to bring forth this show and highlight the man in the most wonderful way.

The date of the first night was no coincidence either, opening on what would have been Chester’s 43rd birthday. With the immense attention the event had accumulated long before its opening, a second night was added to accommodate the demand- and both nights sold out entirely.

Alongside the fans, many industry folk and musicians attended this event, such as Tim Skold and members of a slew of known musical groups. Music brings forth community and unity, a universal language understood by all- and seeing two incredible sold-out nights at Black Sheep Gallery proved this fact.

A portion of the proceeds from this event are being donated to Chester’s wife, Talinda Bennington’s suicide prevention organization called 320 Change Direction. Jim Louvau made a $3,000 donation following the event.
