If you weren’t one of about 75 people that were invited to a private VIP listening event of the full-length new Black Sabbath album ‘13‘ yesterday in Los Angeles (yes, the band was there – full report is coming), there’s no need to despair. You can still get a delicious listen to one of the songs before the album drops on June 11th, but you’ll have to watch the season finale of ‘CSI‘ if you want to hear it.
The band will premiere the record’s leadoff single, ‘End of the Beginning,’ during the May 15th episode of the top-rated show that finds stars Ted Danson and Marc Vann investigating a Sabbath concert for clues to “a trail of murders with horrifying similarities to the sins in ‘Dante’s Inferno.’”
“When we first heard that Black Sabbath was interested in premiering a song on CSI from their first studio album in 35 years, we were all really excited,” said executive producer Don McGill in a press release. “So many of us are longtime fans. And seeing as the album is titled ’13′ and this is the finale of ‘CSI’s’ Season 13, it seemed like the perfect match. We couldn’t be more thrilled.”
So set those DVR’s people! Trust us…you DON’T want to miss any little nugget of this album! In the interim, watching the ’13’ artwork and video teaser the band released last week will have to suffice for now….
