Internet drumming sensation Meytal decided to get some musicians to write with and release her own record, Alchemy. To be honest, I knew the drumming would be excellent but was unsure how the rest of the music would sound, I was more than pleased with what I heard. Alchemy will be up there on my chart at the end of the year.
The album is straight up metal/hard rock sounding and it kicks off with the track “Breathe” , then “Nothing”, “Everybody Hates You Now”, and “Shadow in Disguise” keep the momentum going. It slows down to a full on ballad with “Behind These Walls” and, as a listener, I was thinking why would they do that.

Leave it up to a quick change back into the speed and strength of the record with “Killing Time” and again the album picks up the pace and keeps it pretty much going until the end. Not one song is a letdown and you do not need a second spin to know this album has an “it” factor.

I highly recommend this album for any music fans and especially hard rock and metal fans. If you need to find out who she is check out all of her drum covers and imagine how amazing she would be on her own record with musicians that are as equally proficient if not better.
