Rock N Roll is Buckcherry’s seventh studio album and the first full length album on their F-Bomb Records label, following last year’s Fuck EP. The title of the album is appropriate: in today’s world, rock and roll seems to be an endangered species and Buckcherry is here to say rock and roll is not going anywhere on their watch! Rock N Roll is something that can be played while driving, dancing, or even relaxing to.
This album contains the foundation of rock and roll, energy, sexuality, something you can drive to, and great guitar riffs. A racing song, “Bring It On Back” is an excellent choice for an opening track. It’s good old fashioned rock and roll and the name lets you know just what Buckcherry is up to: They’re bringing it on back! “Madness” is a song about the two sides of a person that everyone knows. “Tight Pants” and “Sex Appeal,” of course demonstrate the band’s seductive lyric writing we all know them for. You can take a break from the adrenaline ride and listen to the soothing tracks, “The Feeling Never Dies” and “Rain’s Falling.” Those two tracks are the kind of songs you could just set back in your easy chair and reflect on your life to. They also demonstrate Josh Todd’s wonderfully diverse writing style. Buckcherry is full of talented musicians, including the addition of horns on “Tight Pants.” Keith Nelson demonstrates his skill throughout the album especially with a sort of bluesy style on “Rain’s Falling.”
The Madness
If you’re in the mood for some pure rock and roll this is the album for you. Old or young, this album will have something in it for you. It has a classic feel to it and just gets you revved up. You can get “Bring It On Back” and “The Madness” on iTunes now. The full album will be on sale August 21.
