There’s a new batch of musical mayhem makers, that come freshly-delivered, kicking and screaming with dripping placenta, birthed straight out of the womb of Detroit, Michigan in the form of WILSON. This debaucherous gang of five consists of Chad Nicefield (vox), Matt Puhy (drums), James Lascu (bass), Jason Spencer (guitar) and Kyle Landry (guitar). It is no surprise that these guys were hand-picked to support GWAR and Jason Newsted, as they are the ultimate riot-inciting band that any headliner would bust a nut to have opening for them. Having been in the supporting spotlight with two such notorious bands/artists has gained them a momentous amount of fans from their live shows of FUCKERY, which will all lead up to the release of their debut album, aptly entitled Full Blast Fuckery on July 9, 2013.
“My Life. My fucking grave.” Five words into Full Blast Fuckery, with the first track “My Life My Grave” and you will be hooked. Instantly, Wilson defines their album with a statement forged by generations before, only to be re-introduced into a more modern world. It’s the quintessential anthem for people everywhere to take what they believe in to the grave, with their middle finger raised high in the air. This is the kind of lead-off song that every album should have – the kind that can literally transport you to a show in your mind, where you are surrounded by hot metal chicks and dudes ready to raise hell and start mosh pits. The album’s first breakout single, “College Gangbang” wins my vote for the number one party song of the year. If you could define the album with one song, this would be it. Fraternities everywhere will be blasting this song long into the night. Police will be called.

“Viking Pussies Fuck Off” introduces a brutal heavy screaming, along with heavier and faster riffs and brings a whole new side of the record fiercer than anything I had ever heard come out of Wilson, and I loved it. The only “complaint” I have is that right when I was really getting into the song, it abruptly ended, leaving me wanting more but not delivering it. Those fucking fuckers of Wilson. Gotta love em’.

Another standout song, “If You Ever Leave I Will Find You”, introduces a more modern Hard Rock/Metal side of the album. While listening to the lyrics, I quickly came to the conclusion that somebody had royally pissed off vocalist Chad Nicefield, making it the perfect “Fuck you” anthem.
The next to last song on the album “Susan Jane”, is one of the 
heaviest the record has to offer. With fast riffs accompanied by some serious shredding, the song awesomely recaps many different styles explored on the album, while also introducing new breakdowns sure to keep hardcore fans happy.
Wilson is primed and ready to be the pied-pipers of fuckery for a new generation, leading a line of rockers into the party, with a we-don’t-give-a-shit attitude forged by rock legends past, and kept alive through generations of dedication and passion. The album, due out July 9th, is a debut album many bands strive for, but are rarely able to accomplish.
