Less than three years after they said “Goodbye,” Underoath has returned!
The 2016 reunion tour is something fans have desired, but never thought would happen. To make the reunion more delightful, original drummer, Aaron Gillespie, who was not in the band at the time of the farewell, came back to take part in this awesome run.
To add even more excitement to the anticipation, Underoath performed not one BUT TWO (!!!) of their most popular albums in their entireties.
They’re Only Chasing Safety and Define The Great Line were two crucial albums that solidified Underoath as one of the best and classic post-hardcore bands.
The Monday night show at Rocketown in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, did not disappoint.
Rocketown is a Christian venue. There is no alcohol and no crowd-surfing. This did not sit well with singer, Spencer Chamberlain, who found the practice of throwing kids out for participating, unthinkable. All through the night, he called out the security guards for being rude and man-handling kids who “spent their hard earned money to come here and rock with us.”
Aside from that, seeing all these kids come together to scream their lungs out to their favorite band is something that works well at Underoath shows. Being part of the experience and watching music move people is a beautiful thing.
At RockRevolt, we are very excited because UNDEROATH IS BACK, BABY!
