Brought to you by Baltimore Sound Management, the alternative/modern rock band, TRAPT, from Los Gatos, California, played a packed Fish Head Cantina in Halethorpe, Maryland, on Thursday night. Fish Head Cantina is live music venue, restaurant, and roomy sports bar located just outside of Charm City (Baltimore). Indoors you’ll find the dining area, billiards tables, and a large bar and sushi bar when you can watch the game. Outdoors you’ll find a tiki bar, a large patio, and two stages for live music. The outdoor section was enclosed to keep the crowd warm from the cold weather, and the place was laced with black lights and other lighting decorations. The venue was packed all the way to the back, leaving very little room between the barricade and stage, as Trapt took the stage and opened with their 2011 jam “Bring It”. The group consists of lead vocalist Chris Taylor Brown, Pete Charell slapping the bass, drummer Brendan Hengle, and Ty Fury bringing the fury on guitar. The entire place was rocking as the band slammed through their high energy set. The guys were all over the place with guitar flips and swings and interactions with the crowd. The crowd sang along with popular hits like “Who’s Going Home with You Tonight?”, “Headstrong”, and “Stand Up”. Songs “It’s Over” and “Human (Like the Rest of Us)” from the new 2016 album, DNA, were also received well. The band ended their set with an Encore performing 2002 hit “Stories”. Next, Trapt continues their tour through PA, NY, NJ, OH, WI and NV.
