Silverstein – When Broken is Easily Fixed 15-year Anniversary Tour
First off, let me just say you do NOT want to miss this tour; every band brought it all to the stage. In support of their 15 year anniversary for their debut album When Broken is Easily Fixed, hardcore band Silverstein has taken to the road for a headlining tour. Supporting them are Hawthorne Heights, As Cities Burn, and Capstan. On November 11, 2018, this tour came to the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH.
Starting the evening off was Capstan. Being an opening act can sometimes come with difficulties. Not for these guys. They kicked things off with a bang. They got the crowds energy up and got the people moving. Their stage presence was on point as well as their music. Great start to the evening.
Following Capstan was As Cities Burn. This was another consistently solid performance. The energy in the room rose as the set went on. Singer Terry Lee Bonnette Jr. knew how to move and work the crowd. Jumping around and throwing his mic stand in the air only served to entice the crowd even more.
Dayton, OH native Hawthorne Heights followed. I haven’t seen many musicians as genuine as these guys. Frontman JT Woofruff spoke and played from the heart. The entire band just seemed happy to be there. Their music kicked ass, their energy was high, and the crowd was loving it. All around, solid performance.
Finally it was time for Silverstein. They played two sets. One to support When Broken is Easily Fixed, and the second was a Greatest Hits set. Let me tell you, these. Guys. Rock. They killed song after song. There’s a reason they’re still around after 15 years; they’re talented as hell and consistently put out good music. Before the show began, an automated message warned people that moshing and crowdsurfing were prohibited… As if that was going to hold people back. Pretty much as soon as the first song started, a circle pit opened up in the crowd. Crowd surfers were constant through the whole set. Do yourself a favor and be sure to check out this show if it comes to a town near you.
