Nine grown men in some awesome masks in October could only mean one thing, right? Yup, Slipknot. It’s been a while since an act such as Slipknot came to Portland, but with the way the crowd responded, it was as if they had been here the whole time. Portland’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum has never sounded so good, nor has it been rocked this hard, at least not in recent memory. Beartooth and Suicidal Tendencies kicked things off, so when Slipknot finally took the stage, the Portland crowd was in a frenzy. Corey and the rest of the knots played nearly 20 songs with a great mix from their extensive catalog that goes back 16 years. Slipknot has finished up the North American leg of their Summer’s Last Stand tour, but you can still catch them in Mexico or Europe. Let’s hope they announce more dates when they return stateside. We here at RockRevolt Magazine can’t get enough Slipknot!
