Jägermeister is back with the best Mayhem experience to date which includes presenting the festival stage headlined by MACHINE HEAD, a legendary JagerWorld experience, The Metal of Honor Award, the brand’s first-ever Guitar Shred-Meister competition, Celebrity Chef signings and daily artist signings for those of legal drinking age.
Yes, you heard right! Chris Santos will join the 2013 ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL for the remainder of the summer, where he will be taking part in signings at the Jägermeister booth, co-hosting the Shred-Meister competition, cooking Jägermeister-infused recipes at the official after-parties and for artists, and whipping up private meals for the headlining artists!
“I’m beyond excited to be joining the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL on behalf of Jagermeister and to spread the word about the Jägermeister “Charred” BBQ Contest happening this summer,” states Celebrity guest chef Chris Santos. “I’ll be doing signings daily and roaming the festival all day so if you see me grab me and say hello and we’ll chat about Jäger or hit the pit!”
As Santos mentioned above, his appearances are all a part of the “Charred, Earn your Place at the Pit” BBQ Competition, a search for the best grill recipes incorporating Jägermeister. The challenge, which kicked off in June, is divided into three categories: Cow, Bird and Hog, from which Santos selects one winner per category. He has joined a panel of judges including barbecue expert Chef Daniel Delaney, a representative for Jägermeister, and a musical artist, in selecting the top recipe. Category winners receive an expertly butchered whole hog, half cow or a flock of fowls and the grand prize winner will be awarded a BBQ-scorched trip for two to New York City to sample grilled offerings from the nation’s top barbecue eateries and chefs.

As mentioned above, each day Jägermeister and the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL presents the Metal of Honor award to a veteran in attendance. Every day, each veteran over the age of 21 with a Metal of Honor wristband receives a raffle ticket for a custom Metal of Honor/Jägermeister guitar to be presented to one of these hometown heroes on the main stage to thank them for their service.
Artists performing this year include main stage metal and horror legend, festival closer ROB ZOMBIE, plus, the triple gold certified FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and a monster lineup that includes additional main stage bands MASTODON and AMON AMARTH. The festival area is led by stage closers CHILDREN OF BODOM and MACHINE HEAD as well as JOB FOR A COWBOY, EMMURE, BORN OF OSIRIS, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, BUTCHER BABIES, BATTLECROSS, HUNTRESS, THROWN INTO EXILE, CITY IN THE SEA, ATTIKA7 and SCORPION CHILD.
