Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Sid Vicious, Brian Jones, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince, Keith Moon, John Entwistle, and Jim Morrison…
What do all these musicians have in common? They are part of a long list of performers who have died from drug-related causes. Whether that drug is heroin, cocaine, pills, alcohol, speedball, muscle relaxers, painkillers or a combination, many of them might have been saved if they were able to find an organization like the CFC LOUD N CLEAR FOUNDATION to help them with their addictions.
CFC LOUD N CLEAR FOUNDATION is a social organization for people who need support after treatment of their addiction to maintain a sober life. We all know that many addicts who go into a treatment facility for their addiction most likely come out and return to their old habits and slip back into addiction. Look at Philip Seymour Hoffman, Chris Farley, Billie Holiday, and Anna Nicole Smith to name a few.
CFC provides a 12 month program for the individual to seek out their own personal, unique treatment plan by offering many options whether it be 12 steps, Smart Recovery, Eastern philosophy, faith-based or you have your own, their mission is to have fun as a recovery group. CFC offers sober housing, job placement, character building retreats, outings, and excursions so that the people in recovery can feel as though they can integrate back into society sober. They also offer workshops on team-building, parental support, and a host of other services.
Therefore CFC created the Rock The Farm Music & Food Truck Festival to integrate rock ‘n roll with recovery.
This year marks the third annual Rock The Farm Music & Food Truck Festival at its new location in Brookdale Community College in Tinton Falls, New Jersey this Saturday, August 27, 2016. This festival in years past raised enough money so that CFC can run its recovery programs free of charge for anyone who needs them.
This year’s main attractions include: American singer/songwriter Trevor Hall, Chadwick Stokes Urmston of the bands DISPATCH and STATE RADIO, Artimus Pyle of LYNYRD SKYNYRD and his band, Dennis Dunaway Bassist of ALICE COOPER GROUP, Joe Bouchard, founding member of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, David Bryan of BON JOVI, and also THE CHARACTERS with Carmine Appice. Additionally, local favorites such as MATT O’REE BAND, QUINCY MUMFORD, SAM SIMS BAND, and the MOROCCAN SHEEPHERDERS will be performing.
Rock The Farm Music & Food Truck Festival will also offer yoga classes, face painting, Kid Zone Arts and Crafts, a petting zoo and pony rides. Plus the Memorial Butterfly Garden is the sanctuary to remember our friends who did not succeed in their struggle against addiction. There will be drum circles and meals from award-winning food trucks as well.
But now CFC LOUD N CLEAR FOUNDATION needs your help in order for them to maintain this extraordinary recovery program.
