We Came As Romans stopped by Atlanta’s Masquerade on January 27, 2022, as part of their Darkbloom Tour.

Performing to a sold out crowd, the show started with Canadian metal band Brand of Sacrifice, who got the crowd going followed by Alabama based band, Erra, who provided a different sound than their predecessor.

Both bands performed with effortlessness and the crowd responded positively.

When We Came As Romans took the stage, they immediately launched into the single “Daggers” and the crowd erupted. It was raining crowd-surfers and it set the tone for the evening.

Following this, the band decided on several toned down songs “Golden” and “The Anchor” before launching into “Lost in the Moment,” and “Wasted Age”

The album Tracing Back Roots turns ten this year so the band gave the audience the option of “Fade Away” or “Ghosts” to be played next. (To no one’s surprise, Fade Away won.)

After playing a few more songs from their previous album Cold Like War, the band played the title track of their newest album Darkbloom.

What was interesting about this particular song was they played the song, left for an encore, and came back and played the SAME song, but with Kyle from Brand of Sacrifice. There is a re-imagined version of the song where Kyle provides guest vocals, so it was not surprising to see the collaboration, it was just surprising to hear it TWICE.

The band closed the evening with the single Black Hole. The whole set was electric and further proves why We Came As Romans is one of the most energetic bands on the road right now.
