Wes Scantlin, frontman for heavy metal band Puddle of Mudd, was taken into police custody on May 13 in L.A. after several witnesses accused him of battering his ex-wife. Â
TMZ reported that the police were called in to a business in West Hollywood, where Scantlin apparently had  dragged his ex-wife and then pulled her by the arm or the shirt.Â
Several eye witnesses spoke to the police, and Scantlin was brought in, with a bail set at $20,000. An unnamed source told TMZ that Scantlin was “very mouthy” when arrested.Â
This isn’t Scantlin’s first run in with the law. He was recently arrested for warrants coming from a cocaine possession charge last June. In 2002, he was also arrested for domestic dispute charges.
