SURROUNDED BY MONSTERS Drop Off THE BUNNY THE BEAR Tour

Genre defying experimental noise merchants SURROUNDED BY MONSTERS, have decided to drop off their current tour with THE BUNNY THE BEAR. The band has issued the following statement:
“We, SURROUNDED BY MONSTERS, regret to inform our fans that we have decided to drop the remaining dates on THE BUNNY THE BEAR tour. This is a decision made by SURROUNDED BY MONSTERS and not anyone else. We are very sorry to those who were planning on coming to see us at the scheduled shows, but we refuse to continue to support a band like THE BUNNY THE BEAR.
From the start of this tour THE BUNNY THE BEAR has been disrespectful and confrontational to ticket holders by calling people in the audience derogatory remarks, to canceling sets because not enough people were in the audience for them to care. This is not something that we as a band support or endorse and we will not tolerate it any further.
Once again, we are very sorry to those who were coming out to see us on this tour. We hate canceling shows, but under these circumstances we feel it is our only option. It is the fans and their support that make a bands growth and life possible, and by no means should THE BUNNY THE BEAR think they have the right to treat people the way they do. No band should EVER put themselves above their fans.”

The band recently wrapped up a full US tour alongside IWRESTLEDABEARONCE, OCEANO, VANNA, WITHIN THE RUINS, THE PLOT IN YOU.

One Response so far.

A lot of music we refer to as emo nowadays tilcnecalhy isn’t emo. People tend to assume emo is short for emotional punk, but it’s actually emotive punk. Indie music is basically stuff like The Killers, The Bravery, Silversun Pickups, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and their drummers usually have very limited drumkits, usually 4 peice sets, and the guitars usually have a more clean tone. Indie tends to be very simple musically, which is why critics often consider it as not a musician’s genre. Synth is also common in Indie. Personally, I can’t stand how popular both emo and indie have become, but there are a few exceptions: The Used is a good live band and their singer is one of the few, if not the only, real modern rock n roll personas in the emo genre; I liked some stuff from The Killers, and their attitude seems to be refreshingly less humble than their fellow indie counterparts. I know that if I looked really hard I might find a few others that I’d like, but I’m very dissatisfied with most popular rock in general now.
