INTRONAUT RELEASE NEW STUDIO UPDATE VIDEO & GET READY FOR NEW ALBUM ‘HABITUAL LEVITATIONS’ TO DROP NEXT WEEK!
Los Angeles post metal proggers INTRONAUT have just revealed a new studio update video which ROCKS!
While previous in-studio episodes focused on the drum and guitar tracking processes, post metal prog lords INTRONAUT turn our attention to vocal tracking in the third and final episode. It’s very cool to watch the process go from barely audible to LOUD!
With mixing mastery completed by Josh Newell, INTRONAUT’s Sacha and David take over Trench Studios in Corona, CA to lay down vocals for the new album ‘HABITUAL LEVITATIONS,’ due out next week, March 19, 2013 via Century Media Records.

FRONTIERS RECORDS TO RELEASE EXCITING NEW CONCEPT ALBUM: TIMO TOLKKI’S AVALON’S METAL OPERA “THE LAND OF NEW HOPE”
Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release of an exciting new concept album - Timo Tolkki’s Avalon new metal opera, THE LAND OF NEW HOPE. Due out in North America on May 21st, THE LAND OF NEW HOPE takes place more than 40 years in the future when most of the planet has been destroyed by natural disasters. The title of the opera refers to the safe haven that a small group of survivors seek. THE LAND OF NEW HOPE is composed by one of the forefathers of the power metal genre, former Stratovarius main songwriter and guitarist, Timo Tolkki.
For this unique concept album, Timo Tolkki was able to gather some of most accomplished international singers: Michael Kiske (Unisonic), Elize Ryd (Amaranthe), Rob Rock (Impellitteri), Russell Allen (Symphony X), Sharon Den Adel (Within Temptation) and Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica). Rounding up the stunning line-up of this album are world-renowned musicians Alex Holzwarth (Rhapsody Of Fire) on drums, Jens Johansson (Stratovarius), Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Black Country Communion) and Mikko Härkin (Sonata Arctica) on keyboards, and Tolkki himself taking care of all guitars, bass and production duties. WOW!

The album will be available in two formats: a standard CD and a deluxe edition featuring a 30-minute documentary on the making-of the album and two videos. Stay tuned for more news and a review of the album!

CONTINENTS START EUROPEAN TOUR TOMORROW / RELEASE NEW TOUR DIARY VIDEO!
The five piece rebellious Victory Records band CONTINENTS will begin their ten city European tour tomorrow, March 15th in Schifflange, Luxembourg to support their new album Idle Hands. See a full listing of tour dates here.
In typical CONTINENTS style, the lads have released a third tour diary and announced they will join THE GHOST INSIDE in Japan beginning May 17th. See their hilarious antics, dedicated fans and never before seen backstage footage.

LAND SHARK Promotion Studio Unveils Lineup and Set Times for AUSTIN 2013 Showcase
LAND SHARK Promotion Studio, the “BIG Fish in the Promotion Ocean”, since 2007, has been the premiere independent rock radio and video promotion firm, also specializing in viral / online marketing. Their past and current clientele is a who’s-who of rock icons and radio staples, including: Five Finger Death Punch, Alice In Chains, Slash, Rob Zombie, Chickenfoot, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Rush, KoRn, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, and many more.
2013 marks the sixth consecutive year that LAND SHARK will host an “unofficial” showcase event in Austin during, but not affiliated with, the annual SXSW Music Festival. This is a FREE show - no badges/wristbands, or RSVP are required for entry, and there is no cover charge at the door!
The showcase is on Saturday March 16th at the Bayou Lounge at 500 E. 6th Street.
