Dream Seekers Productions –Sweet Madness
As far at the standard fanfare go on fan films like this, this exceeded my expectations. It opens with a dark and somewhat forboding narration that set the tone for a 11 minute film. The plot centers around Harley Quinnzel aka Harley Quinn, the madness in the film and the main player, as she carries out a plot to see her love, the joker. What follows is a conversation that is fitting for the Batman universe between her and her pudding. It opens with three hostages: The mayor, his wife and his daughter, lay out the framework as but ultimately have very little to do with the plot. The joker is crazy but he doesn’t really give off that good old crazy vibe that Batman fans are used to. While Harley isn’t downright perfect, the actress really captured her insanity in a way that seems fit. The conclusion to this must-watch short film took me by surprise and ended on a high note. Over all I give this fan film 3.5 out of five skulls!
