After nearly three decades in the music business, artist and visionary, Taylor Anderson has released his dream upon the masses. With a celebrity studded all star cast, Metal the Band kicked off aptly named Metal the Tour November 21st at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona Harley Davidson complex.
The evening began in true celebrity fashion with artist’s mingling and socializing with guests before the curtain call. With stars from such well known bands as LA Guns, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, Alice Cooper, and Twisted Sister it was easy to get lost in the pre show excitement of what the night had in store. LA Guns opened the show with an absolutely blistering set and Quiet Riot grabbed a hold of what sanity was remaining and kept a firm grip. Both acts worked the crowd to a frenzy and left them ready for the stars of the show.
By the time Metal the Band took over the show, concert goers knew what they were witnessing was something spectacular. Taylor Anderson (rhythm guitar) himself, along with Brev Sullivan (lead guitar), Crystalline Entity (bass), Tim “Timbo” Diduro (drums), Alan St. Jon (keyboard), Michael Vaughn (vocals), Faith Jackson (vocals), Alex R. Knuckles (vocals), and Cassidy Diana (vocals) immediately took the energy level already established by the earlier acts and cranked the volume to 13. With cameo appearances by Kip Winger and Lita Ford, this was one tour kick off party that would leave event attendees buzzing for hours after the final curtain.
What can you expect from Metal the Tour? Imagine a musical, theatrical stylization of your favorite 80’s rock songs with a twist. Elaborate staging and production make this a show that the fans will flock to see night after night. A combination of familiar tunes paired with mind numbing sound, lights, and LED screens is a brutal combination that had people dancing and screaming along with the lyrics.
Taylor with the backing of veteran promotional super hero, Jack Starr hopes to tour this amazing show throughout the US in 2016 and has already secured several dates in major markets. The band recently released a single named ‘Voices Carry’ which is a redo of the original from Til Tuesday infusing the 1985 version a bit more of a metal edge and bite. The single and booking information can both be found on the band/tours website.
