LOUDER THAN LIFE 2014: Judas Priest

The electric energy that flowed through the Louder Than Life Festival on the first night was literally crackling, extending from the front gates clear to backstage - all in anticipation of seeing the iconic headliners, Judas Priest.

As two Prevost buses rolled in around 7 p.m., even the normally blasé crews (they’ve seen it all), along with some of the biggest performers of the day stopped to pay homage to their arrival by saluting (metal horns) as they made their way through the parking lot. Shouts of “JUDAS FUCKING PRIEST!” started from the second they arrived, and the crescendo grew to a frenzy until the ruling gods of metal took the main stage at 9:55 p.m.. What ensued was pure pandemonium and chaos as we all worshiped dutifully to the Priest. Bow and behold…
