Max & Iggor Cavalera RETURN TO ROOTS tour – celebrating the 20th anniversary of the legendary album Roots at the legendary Alrosa Villa in Columbus OH.
The roots run hard and deep as the epitome of all things metal and good coalesce within the Cavalera brothers. Digging deep into the inspirations brought forth from the depths of the rainforest, the Cavaleras became one with the forest and the earth as they imbibed the vitality that characterizes their country, and made it tangible, audible, and palpable.
All this happened back in 1996, and that life-force still lives on strong and proud within the Cavaleras as they push forward night after night, unfurling the tendrils of their legacy across the country on their Return to Roots tour. Played in entirety each night, North America will become enraptured in the purity of the sounds that the brother’s bring forth on Roots, Sepultura’s 6th album. As parishioners in the church of Cavalera, our eyes and lenses were pointed at the stage as Max and Iggor opened the pit for those of us in attendance at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus the night of 02/20/2017.
