LIVE PICS: THE PIXIES

Arvest Bank Theater at the Midland - Kansas City, MO - 02/11/2014

One of the most highly anticipated tours for 2014 is the Pixies. The band didn’t waste any time - busting out of the gates in January on the first leg of what will surely be a year logged with untold miles as they travel around the world on tour in support of EP-1 and EP-2, that include eight new songs in total.

RockRevolt™Magazine was there to capture this legendary band as they played songs old and new to a packed house at the Arvest Theater at the Midland in Kansas City, MO on February 11, 2014. Assistant Photo Editor, Thomas Woroniak was there to photograph the magical Pixie dust that emulated from Black Francis (vocals, guitar), Joey Santiago (guitar), David Lovering (drums) and current touring bassist Paz Lenchantin (A Perfect Circle, ZWAN, The Entrance Band).

About Thomas Woroniak (83 Articles)
Originally from Rockford, IL, this veteran concert photographer has earned his stripes, shooting thousands of shows through the years. He’s been featured in many regional magazines and newspapers in and around Kansas City, MO, where he now resides. When he’s not at a show, Thomas is a web developer, motion graphics designer and 3D animator at some “other job” somewhere. He won’t tell us in fear that we’ll prank call him. Thomas has jumped in with both feet at RockRevolt, helping with editing of photos and teaming up with writing partner in crime, Bradford, to cover shows far and wide for RockRevoltMagazine.
