Saltlick, a local blues rock band hailing from Charlotte, played to an intimate crowd on January 16 at Amos South End, and we were lucky enough to be there to catch some highlights on film. Saltlick, made up of Andy Young on vocals, Brad Draper and Trea Horton on guitar, Shawn Love on bass, David Henderson on keyboard, and Steven Hoffman on drums, performed a short set, opening for another local favorite, Bad Romeo. Saltlick is known for their original music, drawing inspiration from bands like Government Mule. They’ve been around since 1995, and with a few lineup changes, they sound as solid and cohesive as they ever had. One would never imagine they haven’t all been together for the past two decades. If you get the chance in the Charlotte area, make sure you head out and check out their shows. You will not be disappointed! Until then, enjoy these shots!
