I feel your presence amongst us
You cannot hide in the darkness
Can you hear the rumble?
Can you hear the rumble that’s calling?
Louisville KY heard a rumble May 11th, 2016. The sound was dark and deep, and the entire downtown cowered and trembled at the feet of Papa Emeritus III at the altar of Ghost. The rumble called, and flocks surrendered themselves to an evening of crepuscular divinity as nature itself fought back with torrential rain, hail, and gale force winds that rendered surrounding areas powerless. It seemed that the power to control nature was in Ghost’s majestic hands, as when they left the city, they took their tenebrous storm along with them.
A candle casting a faint glow
You and I see eye to eye
Can you hear the thunder?
How can you hear the thunder that’s breaking?
Now there is nothing between us
From now our merge is eternal
Downtown Louisville’s Mercury Ballroom will eternally remember the night that Ghost descended upon their venue and enraptured the attendees that evening with their lugubrious melodies of past and present albums. Infestissumam’s “Secular Haze” spellbound the Louisvillians whilst Meliora’s tendrils sweeping through with “Cirice” captivated the souls of the venue, leaving Louisville raped and pillaged from deep within it’s soul.
Oh, yes. We were one with Papa…and we loved every decadent note and sound that Ghost placed on their unholy Eucharist plate.
