The Half God, Half Devil Tour featuring In This Moment, Motionless In White, Avatar, and Gemini Syndrome came through a SOLD OUT Rams Head Live in Baltimore, Maryland, on Friday. The first three supporting bands delivered high energy sets featuring new material and exciting stage setups. The mid-size rock venue was at max capacity packed with 1,500 fans by the time the headliner, In This Moment, took the stage.
The metalcore band from Los Angeles, In This Moment, opened with their 2012 hit “Blood”. The setlist featured songs from albums Blood and Black Widow. Between songs, lead vocalist Maria Brink took time to engage with the crowd and introduce bandmates: Chris Howorth shredding lead guitar, Travis Johnson on bass, rhythm guitar by Randy Weitzel, and Kent Diimmel slaying the drums. The performance showcased insane stage effects with changing lights, fog, and props with every song. Maria and her blood girls also had a new look for each song, keeping the crowd in suspense before each start. Chris, Travis, Randy, and Kent played in their all-black costumes and horror makeup & masks. The gothic metal band inspires their fans to “become the show” by dressing up in gothic-horror fashion. Fans were seen wearing devil horns, bunny ears, corsets and dark makeup. As usual, In This Moment delivered an intense set of flawless metalcore and hard rock paired with seductive dancing and theatrical stage effects that had the crowd’s attention throughout the entire set from start to finish. The band debuted some new songs from their upcoming sixth album, “River of Fire“, “In the Air Tonight” (Phil Collins cover), and the first single “Oh Lord”. The new album is expected to be released this July.
