The best parties happen at night. Just ask Death Valley High. Crafting the perfect soundtrack to a romp in the dark, Northern California’s Death Valley High artfully merges traditional goth magic and modern alternative majesty, co-mingling cinematic rock, new wave, and dance music on their 2016 full-length CVLT [AS FVK] on minusHEAD Records. Now, the boys always incorporated a gothic sensibility, but they fully embrace it on CVLT [AS FVK]. Since the release of 2013’s Positive Euth, Death Valley High logged over two years on the road, touring alongside everybody from Mindless Self Indulgence and ††† (Crosses) to Filter, Orgy, and Vampires Everywhere! That experience left an indelible imprint on the band. Teaming up with producer Ulrich Wild [White Zombie, Deftones], they ignite 12 nocturnal anthems that are impossible to shake and undeniably CVLT [AS FVK]. Ultimately, CVLT [AS FVK] stands out as a nocturnal necessity for Death Valley High.
