Basic Information:
ROCK REVOLT™ is seeking photo, journalist and marketing interns who are passionate about music. The internship will offer an excellent opportunity to experience to expand your portfolio and gain experience working at a major online publication.
ROCK REVOLT™ will employ 15 interns (5 photo/5 journalist/5 marketing) during its Spring (January to May), Summer (May/June to August), and Fall (September to December) internship programs. Interns work approximately 8 hours per week and may receive college credit if your college or University allows. Only applicant’s that are majoring in journalism, marketing and/or photography or a comparable field will be considered. Applicants must be located within a close proximity of a major city throughout the United States to be able to attend live shows on assignment and have the ability to meet deadlines is a must.
ROCK REVOLT™ does not compensate interns, but you will be given the opportunity to interview, review and photograph artists in a live concert environment, provided with a press/photo passes and given credit for your work. Photos/articles/reviews will be published either on our website, digital magazine or print magazine at Editors discretion. Marketing interns will help assist Marketing Director with campaigns, assisting in acquiring the necessary materials for ad placement in publications and attending live shows to promote Rock Revolt™Magazine.
Deadlines:
- The application deadline for the Spring internship is December 15.
- The application deadline for the Summer internship is May 1.
- The application deadline for the Fall internship is August 15.
About The Intern Program:
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) reviewing upcoming albums of various artists, interview artist in person or on the phone, photo research, communication with publicists to obtain photography/press passes, help in producing photo shoots, writing assigned feature articles and various administrative tasks (sending out issues/organizing materials).
