Taunton has a music scene that runs two ways – either join a tribute band or just extinguish all hopes of trying to be successful. On the 31st of May, NoworNever promotions made a bold decision by bringing down The Hotel Ambush to reignite the local metal scene’s flame once more, and with absolute success. The Hotel Ambush blew everyone away, creating moshpits and causing havoc whilst maintaining an atmosphere that makes us believe that they’ll be most likely to become something much bigger. Â
With their jackhammer riffs, aggressive vocals mixed with a melodic edge they have managed to explode into the metal scene with ease, which is not surprising. In 2010 they unleashed their album ‘Condemned’ which we’ve reviewed, and equally love.Â
The group also aired their video ‘Bury Tomorrow’ on Scuzz TV and Kerrang!, two of the UK’s biggest music programs, that helped progress their fame even more. 2011 was the year of The Hotel Ambush and their movement has become stronger than ever before, consistently played on various BBC radio stations, Kerrang! Radio, and Scuzz TV, where they’ve been forming new fan bases.Â

Since their success of being picked up by some of the UK’s biggest music media outlets, the band were proud to play the Merthyr Rock Festival where they found themselves performing on the same stage as Funeral For A Friend, Skindred and The Blackout. Over the course of 2010 to 2013, they’ve had Jamie Thomas and Rhys Polley join their ranks, which created an indestructible unit of power when they played at The Live Room.Â
