From a wicked aesthetic to audible genius, Corlyx’s brand new album “Music 2F2” released worldwide today- ready to creep into the ears of all those willing. Originally beginning in Los Angeles (where RockRevolt journalist Anabel DFlux first met the talented Caitlin Stokes and Brandon Ashley), in February of 2016 the suo left Los Angeles and moved to Europe. “Music 2F2” has taken Corlyx into the net phase of their sound, staying true to their EP, with the addition of live drums and distorted guitars, Corlyx is a massive melding of genres, seething together on a plate of Alternative Electro Dark Pop goodness.
Anabel DFlux caught up with Caitlin Stokes and Brandon Ashley via Skype, braving the eight hour time difference between the two countries. The trio spent a great deal of time chatting about the conceptualization and recording process of Music 2F2, the future of the musical project, the new aesthetic, and other such creative topics.
