Pierce The Veil and co-headliners Sleeping With Sirens played to a sold-out crowd, rocking the beautiful Uptown Theater in Kansas City, MO as part of the second leg of The World Tour sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink. The 2400-capacity theater was filled with screaming teenage fans who packed the general admission floor area for a chance to get up close and personal with their favorite post-hardcore bands. Opening the evening was PVRIS (pronounced Paris) from Massachusetts, on tour supporting their 2014 release White Noise. Singer Lyndsey Gunnulfsen’s powerful vocals were a highlight of this talented band’s set. UK rockers Mallory Knox made their debut appearance in Kansas City, as well as their first trek in the US. Sleeping With Sirens delivered an awesome set that included a couple of acoustic songs, the band’s popular “Roger Rabbit” and a great cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris,” both of which had the crowd singing in unison. And finally, Pierce The Veil laid down an incredibly energetic set which included a moving rendition of “Hold on till May” that featured guest vocals by PVRIS singer, Lyndsey Gunnulfsen. RockRevolt photographer John Thornbrugh was there to capture the action from the pit.
