Brooklyn Weird Rockers Karabas Barabas don’t seem to be slowing down since releasing their debut album, The Return of the Sexy Demon, and are now paying homage to the late cult television star John F. Dunsworth in the form of “Lahey,” off of their sophomore album, Sex with the Devil, due out 12/22.
We were going to wait and release this this winter, We were hoping to talk with John Dunsworth and the rest of the Trailer Park Boys about possibly lending this song to the show, or having them in our video. Alas the great John F. Dunsworth “Jim Lahey” sadly passed away yesterday. So we made this in his memory.
If you’re not familiar with Karabas Barabas, think Mr. Bungle meets Primus, after a late night of heavy drinking with Tom Waits and Tom Petty. You can pre-order Sex with the Devil on bandcamp now and grab immediate downloads of “That 70s Song,” “Fuckarana,” and “50/50“.
