Let me ask you a question. If Adam
Jones from Tool called your band and
asked if you’d be interested in serving
as the show opener for the winter
tour they were planning on launching
alongside Primus, what would your
band’s answer be?

This question is of course rhetorical
as every hard rock, metal, industrial
or polka band on the planet today would
likely not even be capable of getting the
word yes out as their jaws would be firmly
planted on the floor if presented with such
an unprecedented opportunity.
Enter 3Teeth, an industrial band out Los
Angeles comprised of Alexis Mincolla
(vocals), Xavier Swafford (keyboards),
Chase Brawner (guitar) and Andrew
Means (drums).
3Teeth’s 2014 self titled
debut has garnered quite a
bit of adulation and waves
of positive reviews with
the band’s post apocalyptic
sound harkening back to
the days of 90’s era industrial
domination by the likes of
such outfits as Ministry, Nine
Inch Nails and KMDFM.
Let me be clear though in regards
to the inevitable comparisons
that have been authored up by the
music media in terms of the band,
3Teeth’s music is by no means a
reinvention of the industrial music
wheel.
Instead 3Teeth is attempting to
accomplish something most acts in
any genre simply don’t have the balls
or quite frankly the talent to pull off.
