The third annual Table Rocks Music Festival is officially in the books, and RockRevolt™ Magazine was on hand to capture it. With five great bands performing on stage in one of the best venues southern Oregon has to offer, expectations were high and Table Rocks Music Festival delivered.
I arrived just as Orgy was finishing up their set with their cover of Blue Monday. The crowd at Table Rocks was primed and ready to fire. Saliva pumped things up with hits like ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’, ‘Always’, and ‘Click Click Boom’. They even invited the audience up for some crowd participation filling the stage with kids and families yearning to share in the rock star experience which is quickly becoming a tradition at the Table Rocks Music Festival.
Puddle of Mudd took the stage after Saliva and the show shifted gears taking us to a whole different plane of existence. Lead Singer Wes Scantlin simply didn’t bring his best performance to Table Rocks. Honestly, I would have settled for mediocre. The audience was certainly captivated however, just wondering when the train wreck was going to end. Wes frequently shouted “Come on!” to the audience and kept his road crew busy with his microphone swinging and stage antics, frequently tangling microphone cords and dragging equipment across the stage. Perhaps everything was just too blurry…
When Candlebox took the stage Table Rocks came alive. Despite having changed guitarists and drummers, favorites such as ‘Don’t You’, ‘Change’, and ‘Far Behind’ were performed flawlessly, and it’s clear that there is a great vibe with the band. Candlebox even broke up their set for a spectacular cover of the Pearl Jam song, ‘Even Flow’. The band sounded amazing and I’m looking forward to their new album in 2016.
