A new music festival experience just launched and it’s featuring some of the biggest names in rock, as well as the genre’s rising stars.
The Rockstar Energy DISRUPT Festival is summer 2019’s premiere touring festival. Fans across North America will be immersed into a full-day interactive experience where they will not only be able to hear some of their favorite bands but will also be exposed to the latest in lifestyle brands and pop-up activations. Unlike most other festivals, there will only be one band performing at a time, avoiding conflicting set times and allowing fans to experience the full lineup in one rock-filled day.
The inaugural Rockstar Energy DISRUPT Festival will feature The Used, Thrice, Circa Survive, Sum 41, The Story So Far, Atreyu, Sleeping With Sirens, Andy Black, Four Year Strong, Memphis May Fire, Trophy Eyes, Meg & Dia, Juliet Simms, Hyro the Hero, and more.
Some of the bands are featuring new music. Punk rock band Sum 41 announced they will release a new album, Order in Decline, on July 19 – just two days before DISRUPT launches. The singer described their seventh studio album as their heaviest and most aggressive yet.
“The last thing I wanted to do was write a social or political protest record, and Order In Decline is not that,” lead singer Deryck Whibley said in a press release. “It’s also very hard not to have feelings about everything that’s going on in the world.”
Andy Black, lead singer of glam metal band Black Veil Brides, will be releasing his second solo studio album, The Ghost of Ohio, on April 12.
“[The Ghost of Ohio] is a full embrace of my long-held passion for imagination, stretching back to when I discovered my dad’s KISS trading cards in the basement and walked my neighborhood streets dressed up like Batman,” Black told Loudwire in an interview.
The roadshow kicks off on June 21 in Dallas and makes stops in a total of 25 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada concluding in Albuquerque on July 28.
Tickets will go on sale beginning Friday, March 29, 2019, at rockstardisrupt.com.
