Ozzy Osbourne postpones 2019 tour dates, Sharon Osbourne fights back tears “He just feels terrible”

Ozzy Osbourne postpones all 2019 No More Tours 2 farewell tour dates due to a recent injury and health struggles.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy award-winning heavy metal singer and songwriter fell at his Los Angeles home aggravating years-old injuries that required surgery last month, according to his website.  Osbourne will remain under doctor’s care in Los Angeles as he recovers and has already began re-scheduling tour dates to take place in 2020.

“I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates,“ said Osbourne in a statement released on his website. “Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now.  I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans. It’s really what’s keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better everyday. I will fully recover. I will finish my tour. I will be back!”

Monday on CBS’s “The Talk”, Ozzy’s wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, fights back tears as she discusses her husband’s recent health struggles and having to cancel all remaining shows.

“Ozzy is, oh Lord, I don’t know where to begin,” she said. “At the beginning of the year he had a bad flu that went to bronchitis, that went to pneumonia. And then when he had the flu he came out of hospital and he had a bad accident at home, he fell. And he fell in the middle of the night. And years ago, previously he had a motorbike accident where he was in a coma for days, and what he’d done was he reinjured his back and neck and shoulders. And all the of metal rods and everything that were put in his body were dislodged. So we had to cancel this year’s events. But he’s good, he’s fine, he’s great. He just feels terrible. He says it’s the only thing he’s ever done right in his life, is performing, and he feels terrible.”

Bandmates and other artists around the world voiced their well wishes on social media.

Concert-goers are asked to hold onto their original tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled dates.
