Dream Theater continued their Images, Words & Beyond 25th Anniversary tour at the Rochester Auditorium Theatre this past week to the immense delight of their fervent fan base in upstate New York.
The band has been trekking across the United States throughout the Fall to celebrate the release of probably their most iconic record, 1992’s Images and Words.
The tour’s format has presented Dream Theater’s fans a unique live experience, as the shows on this run have been broken up into three distinctive sections.
The initial part of the live shows on Dream Theater’s current tour cycle have featured the band performing a myriad of tracks spanning the entire course of their career.
This has been followed by John Pertucci and company playing the Images and Words record in its entirety before closing the show out with the epic twenty-five minute track off of the 1995 EP of the same name, A Change of Seasons.
Rock Revolt contributing photographer Jeff Gerew, an award winning photojournalist based in upstate New York, was on hand in Rochester to capture the band’s performance in pictures.
