The Dallas, Texas, trio TRUE WIDOW brought their signature alternation between male and female vocals and heft of stoner rock, droning atmosphere of shoegaze, and twangy catchiness of blues and indie rock to one of Gainesville, Florida’s most rockin’ nightspots this past Sunday, November 6th. We sent our affiliate, Troy Fisher of Fisher Fotography, to photograph the night. He reported as a new fan he was left mesmerized by shoegaze and sludge at its finest. The three piece is a must-see that delivers brutal but soothing rock that leaves you craving for more.
This year the band released their forthcoming LP, Avvolgere, that rocks and rolls with serene, rounded climaxes and steep, jangling choruses that engulf the listener with waves of downbeat, saccharine melodies and mesmerizing distortion.
