Following their recent debut tour of Europe and a barnstorming set at this year’s Stagecoach festival in Indio, CA., the band’s audience continues to rapidly amass:
“Classic rock DJs have been itching for this band for years. The Wild Feathers channel their Nashville roots with fast-stepping, unmistakably Southern country-rock suggesting a sprightly union of My Morning Jacket and Neil Young,” said The New York Times.
The NY Daily News reported, “They soar on the chemistry and cooperation between no fewer than tree expert song-smiths. Then they elaborate their compositions with the wafting harmonies of four of the five band members…Examples range from the Byrds and Buffalo Springfield to Traffic and Fleetwood Mac…Think the Jayhawkes kicked from behind by The Heartbreakers. American roots music with flat-out rock.” Â
The Wild Feathers are back on tour in the USA in support of the album. They have played hundreds of shows as headliners or supporting the likes of Gary Clark Jr., Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Dawes, and Soundgarden, stopping at the Austin City Limits Festival, San Francisco’s Outside Lands, Sasquatch and Hangout Festivals, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Louisville’s Forecastle Festival, and Nashville’s Live on the Green.Â
The Wild Feathers performed their acclaimed single “The Ceiling” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Minneapolis Star Tribune claimed this track was “perhaps the most elegantly crafted song of the year” and then won with the Sirius Spectrum Award for Best Song Discovery. Â
This Thursday, May 15, The Wild Feathers make their triumphant return to New York City for a sold out show at Bowery Ballroom. From the very beginning NYC audience have embraced the band becoming one of their favorite cities to play live and this will be a special night for band and their fans.  Â
