INDIE BAND OF THE WEEK – COSMIC WOOL

Who are you, and what’s your role in the band?
My name is Nevada Romo, I play guitar, keys, and back up vocals in Cosmic Wool.

How did the band get started?
My self and the singer Rado Romo were signed to Nuclear Blast Records with Anti Mortem, we met Drew Williams  in 2014 it all changed then. We fell in love with alternative and classic rock.

Who are your influences, and how do they play a role in your band?
Musically, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Prince. We love funk, but its complicated. Spiritually, Dan Millman, Osho, Jesus, Sahd Guru, Alan Watts and Carl Young. We all read a lot.

What has been your most meaningful experience in this band so far?
I’ve been really lucky, I’ve accomplished more by 25 than I could of imagined, but last year I attended NAMM 2017 with the Wool. A lot of bands aren’t “friends” still and these guys are my family my, support group. So to go together was amazing. It’s something as a musician that seems like Disney world.

Favorite show you played or place you traveled to?
Wisconsin, my second home.

What do you hope to accomplish with your music?
peace, love and understanding.

What’s something about you no one knows?
I can color with my toes.

What is next for the band?
We just released our first full length record, self titled “Cosmic Wool“. It is available online with all major retailers, and in select locations.
