It’s not every day that an artist like Forest Blakk breaks the mold of artistry and does something so incredibly awesome that it stops us in our tracks and begs us to take notice. Throughout the day, we are inundated with communications from people trying to demand our time. Others try tell us who we are and who we are not, demand more of us, make us feel like their impression of us is what we need to be. And so, some people find themselves on a hamster wheel. They find themselves spinning and spinning, worrying more about what’s on their screens and how to be everything to everyone that they forget to look up.
Sometimes we feel so alone in this world, even though we are often so connected – more so connected than we have ever been. So, we forget who we are. And, that’s when we lost sight of our own potential, our own power, and our own voices. When we forget what we mean to the world, we sometimes believe we don’t matter. It can feel like no one sees us, notices us, no one cares. We feel alone, desolate, desperate for meaning. Sometimes, these thoughts lead us to dark places. Those dark places can lead to irreparable actions, actions we wouldn’t take if we remembered we are loved, we matter. And, Forest Blakk says it’s time for us to remember.
Forest Blakk has a message, and I am copying and pasting it right from his social media to this post.
It’s one worth understanding…
“You are not invisible! You are worthy!
This is “Swipe Right”, a piece of my heart and mind on display.
Before I ever wrote a song, before I ever played a chord, before I sang a single note, I was a poet. I would draw words on paper in hopes to connect them to the eyes and hearts that would eventually read them.
This is a different side of my art that I’ve never shared but always wanted to. I suppose I hid my words to keep a part of me to myself, or maybe I’ve just been too anxious to extend my thoughts so openly before now; to be honest, I’m not entirely sure. What I do know is that I feel incredibly vulnerable putting myself out there like this and have no clue what to expect.
I decided to share this last minute because I feel as though we’re all in a place to listen.
Ps. If you’re feeling invisible or just need someone to talk to, I left my number at the end of this video and will be taking calls from 11AM PT/2PM ET to 3PM PT/6PM ET through January 18th. Talk soon.”

Please take the time and watch. It’s worth it. He’s talking to all of us, all of you.
We hope you take the time to listen.
