Palisades return to The Truman Kansas City plus pre show interview with Louis Miceli

On May 1st 2018, The Truman in Kansas City had the honor of hosting one of the biggest names in the business, Mr. Johnathan Davis.  Mr. Davis is on tour promoting the release of his solo album Black Labyrinth, which drops May 25th (cough 2 days after my birthday cough if you all want to get me something).   On tour with Johnathan Davis is the New Jersey band Palisades.  Luckily enough for the fine folks in Kansas City, as well as many other cities in the country, this is the second time we have been graced with there presents in the last 6 months.  The Truman got their first dose of Palisades while they were pounding the pavement with the gentleman of Nothing More.  Let’s just say that twice in six months is pretty freaking awesome.  Coming off of a stellar 2017, Palisades are in full force going into 2018.  Yes, I know its May and we are five months in to the year, but Palisades are keeping the machine rolling.  Ripping through a ten song set list, the energy was on point from Through Hell to Let Down.  I so wanted to make a cheesy ass “the crowd was not Let Down Joke,” but I won’t, I will control myself.   Seriously though, Palisades are out there showing what night after night and day after day of hard work will get you.  These guys have built a fan base in a city that does not even play their music on the air.  As Louis stated in our pre-show interview (see below) a huge thank you goes out to Octane and Sirius XM for playing the music terrestrial radio will not.  Before I go on a rant about how much radio sucks in Kansas City let me just say, Palisades are a band that deserves your attention.  If you have never seen them live, get the fuck up off your asses and go have a good time.  These dudes are enjoying the shit out of what they are doing and trust me you will see it on stage and it will resonate through your soul and you will be happy you put on more than sweatpants on a Wednesday and saw some phenomenal live music.
