Scott Stapp showcases vocals on acoustic tour

If you are a lover of music you go through your lifetime experiencing music that sings to your soul.  Songs come on the radio, and automatically you are transformed back in time to a place where that song reminds you of either good times or, unfortunately, bad times in your life.  Behind those songs are the blood and sweat of thousands of musicians giving you their hearts on a platter for you to enjoy. Out of those thousands of musicians you will hear throughout your life, there will only be a few of them with a voice that no matter the song or the band you know who it is.

One of those voices is Scott Stapp.  We all know him as the front man of Creed, and we are all starting to know him from his new band Art of Anarchy which just released their first album with Mr. Stapp at the helm entitled The Madness.  In between current runs with his current band Art of Anarchy, Scott Stapp has hit the road playing solo acoustic gigs around the country.  Joining him on this tour is fellow AOA band mate Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal.

Scott Stapp and his crew hit the iconic Tree’s in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, June 18th to take everyone on a trip back in time.  A set list of Creed classics was at his disposal and use them, he did.  It would almost seem that all those years back when these songs were written they were done so that someday a show such as this could be played.

We all know the original versions with Mark Tremonti delivering thunderous rifts to the vocals, but this show, this was about the voice of a legend.  As I said earlier, we only experience a hand full of iconic voices and Scott Stapp proves again that he is among them.  Belting out hits such asMy Own Prison, “One,” and “Torn,” he reminded the Tree’s audience that he is still here, and although he may have had his trials and tribulations, he is back, and he is stronger than ever.
