There are few bands out there that have the legacy built by Chicago born MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT, and few with the incredible kult following that they’ve earned in the three decades that they’ve continued to create consistently unique music. Founders Groovie Mann and Buzz McCoy have maintained a ubiquitous if under the radar presence in the music scene, influencing each subsequent generation of electronic/industrial/electro-rock bands, and garnering new and more loyal followers as they go along. While they don’t release new albums at a rapid rate, they produce and deliver consistently creative and nuanced ear-feasts that remain both fresh and nostalgic. So, enough with extolling their brilliance, let’s talk about what’s next for Thrill Kill Kult in 2019: a new album and tour! Slated to release on Valentine’s Day 2019, the 13th studio release, titled In The House Of Strange Affairs, looks to be yet another solid nod to their Wax Trax! roots while (if the one single we’ve heard, “The Chains Of Fame,” which is slated to release digitally on New Year’s Eve, is any indication) continuing to evolve. They’re also hitting the road, this time with electro-industrial artist Curse Mackey, starting May 5th in Las Vegas, NV and winding through the South and West Coast, finishing up June in as yet to be announced venues in Southern California.
